Summary

Sometimes a home’s comfort level just doesn’t match up to expectations, especially in extreme weather. For this project in Batavia, the goal was to boost both efficiency and year-round comfort by installing a new 2.5 ton heat pump with a variable speed fan coil. The existing system no longer met the needs of the home, prompting an upgrade that could better handle the space and deliver consistent performance.

The Work

Installed a 2.5 ton heat pump and variable speed fan coil for improved heating and cooling
Added a 15 kW electric heat kit for better cold-weather support
Upgraded to a metal filter rack with 4" filter for cleaner air
Ran new 50' lineset and completed counterflow conversion for proper airflow
Provided a non-programmable thermostat for straightforward control

The Outcome

The new system delivers steady temperatures, quieter operation, and improved indoor air quality thanks to the upgraded filtration. The setup also comes with extended parts and labor coverage, giving the homeowner added confidence in their investment.
